Moore’s Move to UNO

After spending her freshman year at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, current junior track runner Emily Moore decided it was time to make a change. Deciding not to run track in college was probably her biggest regret. Moore quickly made the choice to transfer to the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she could start her journey as a college athlete.

“Transferring back to Omaha was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. Being a part of a team is one of the best feelings, you always have someone there for you, but most importantly you always have someone to push you out of your comfort zone,” said Emily Moore.

One of her favorite moments Moore had running for Omaha was her first meet when she fell in love with the sport all over again. Moments like that is why the hard practices and training are worth it.

“There’s always someone there to make sure you’re giving your all whether it be on the track or in the classroom. I have met some of my lifelong friends here and I have track to thank for that,” said Emily Moore.

  1. This was a great pick for an audio story, It’s Moore’s personal story and having her voice really shows how she feels about it. The only thing I thought that could be changed would be the volume. Your voice was at a nice level which made hers seem extremely loud. Overall, well done!
